Our Dedication to Accessibility
Over the last several years the Arvada Community Garden has expanded the garden to include eight raised garden beds. The raised garden beds allow individuals who may not have been able to garden for a variety of reasons the ability to garden again or garden for the first time. Your $35 fee includes water and some specialty tools.
Accessibility Improvements
Wheelchair Friendly Planters & Beds
Beds raised to wheelchair height, Paths made out of roadbed crush material.
Handrail Installation
Added a hand rail to improve accessibility to the interior of the garden.
Sponsorship
Funding for the raised beds and other improvements was obtained through grants from the Colorado Garden and Home Show.
